Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Resources Available on Ovid®

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) can be caused by a single, sudden and violent blow to the head. It’s not uncommon for these sudden impacts to occur during a sporting event, for sports injuries are a major cause of head trauma. Repeated, severe head trauma can be enough to lead to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a mysterious condition diagnosed only after death and often in the news for its discovery among football and soccer players.

Here, you’ll find a collection of links to numerous Ovid resources — from complete books and journals for background material to original research articles — to help healthcare practitioners better understand symptoms and care protocols, and spread the word about the dangers and realities of head trauma to patients and their families.
